Ruby

Picture
Ruby is very full of energy and quite the cuddly dog.  She's always the first to run up to you to ask for attention.  She really loves to run and play.  I have to be careful not to let her over run herself.  It's easy for her to overdo it.  She really wants to run, run, run, like everyone else is going slow, but she doesn't think about having enough energy to get home.  She runs until she's done.  Then she just sits.  Kind of wore out.  So I have to force her to slow down and not overdo it.  She's catching on.

She loves to swim and get in the water and play.  She even likes splashing in mud holes.  So she definitely is the dog who always comes home dirty.  She finds all sorts of watering holes.  I tell her she acts like a Pig in a mud hole.  I say Ruby - you're not a pig!  I love Ruby!  So much energy!  But so calm and cuddly.

She's also gets along well with everyone.  She's so nice.  She doesn't ask for much but always tells you when she needs something.  I feel like she's probably the best communicator out of our of our dogs.

Lucy

Picture
Lucy is just so adorable.  I love her fun playful personality.  She is the newest edition to our family and I'm so excited.    She runs to me so excited to be close.  Just wanting to play and have fun!  I'm also so excited to have a dog that will produce the splash/piebald markings in the future!

She would be Bandit & Kandi's daughter.  Her personality is so awesome.  She's more playful than any dog or puppy I've ever had.  And so fearless.  And for good reason - she's got Daddy and Mommy in her corner.

She's quite the little cuddler just like Kandi and has the strength and durability like Bandit.  She also has the stubbornness like Kandi and the gentleness like Bandit.  It's neat seeing the personality of her parents come through in her.

Jack

Picture
Our newest male, Jack!  He's so much joy!  Reminds me so much of Bandit when he was a puppy.  I feel so lucky to have found a male with exactly the nice gentle  temperament like Bandit.  So sweet and full of life!  I just love him!

I can run him connected with any of our other dogs.  Even though he can probably out run anybody, he's so gentle with whoever he is with.  He loves to run, and swim.  He doesn't ask for much, he's just a really content.

He's so beautiful.  He is more than I could have ever imagined.  I'm so happy that I am blessed with him.  He truly tells you he's your friend every time he's around you.

The other day there was newly hit rabbit on the road during our peddle, and he grabbed it and carried it a few miles with him until we got to the creek, where he had time to eat it.  He was so determined and proud of his game, like he was quite the hunter (even though it was already dead on the road).  I was just amazed at how he could breathe and run with the rabbit in his mouth.  It was quite the sight to see.

Maggie

Picture
Maggie is a really sweet!  She is such a good dog!  We got her and her sister in December 2022 so she just turned 2 years old.  We got her and Daisy right after my Izzy passed away.  I almost backed out of getting them because I was so upset about Izzy and didn't think I could take on getting puppies at the time.  (I had picked them out prior to losing my Izzy).

But God works in mysterious ways.  I went to pick them up and they both just fell into my arms.  I remember it was a really cold night.  And I was sad about Izzy.  I should have been really excited about getting new puppies but I was overwhelmed with grief.  It's like they sensed my sadness.  They both seemed like from the get go they knew they were sent to me to help me though my sadness.  And Maggie was the best comforting puppy I've ever had!  It's like she knew I just needed to cry and she was there to help.

She's never caused any problems, she's only ever been helpful.  I'm always amazed at just how nice she is.  When we got her and Daisy home, they were use to being near a wood burner.  And it was really cold outside.  So every time we took them outside, we thought they were going to freeze because they weren't adapted to the cold at all.  So we started calling them Icicles because we thought they were going to turn into icicles every time we had them outside.  We kept saying "Apparently we really didn't get huskies!"  These are two little icicles!  So for the first few weeks they didn't have first names - they were just called icicles.  But as time went on they told us what they wanted to be called.  Maggie fits her name so well.  Apparently Maggie means "Pearl".   Pearl, a gemstone that symbolizes wisdom balance and protection.  Pearls are used for healing.  And apparently the mother of pearls can make our lives better.   I didn't know that when she got her name, but the more I read about the meaning of her name and how it relates to Pearls that's a very good description of Maggie.

Daisy

Picture
Daisy is a really special puppy.  She decided she's a couch puppy!  If we're on the couch she says she belongs on the couch with us!  She's very vocal in what she wants!  It almost comes out as demands, but it's so cute it's impossible to get mad!

Because she had an all white mother, when she came to our house, she decided "Lily" looks like "mommy"!  Lily really didn't have a say in the matter!  Daisy followed her around like she was her mommy!  And she now acts like a "Lily"!  We now call her and Lily our "Little Flowers".  She's the puppy Lily never knew she had!  It's so cute watching them.  Daisy just always wants to be around Lily.  I think it's helped Lily turn into a little puppy again!  She has a new job!  Taking care of Daisy!
